A walk-off single from Steve McQuail brought home the winning run for the Schaumburg Boomers (27-19) in a 4-3 victory over the River City Rascals (18-26) at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium on Sunday.
McQuail racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Phil Wunderlich paced the River City Rascals at the plate. Wunderlich went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.
Dexter Price improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Price struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.
Jon Levin (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.
