Both the Joliet Slammers (18-24) and the Frontier Greys (15-26) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Joliet Slammers that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 2-1 win at Silver Cross Field.

Matt Dillon racked up nine strikeouts in the the Joliet Slammers win. Dillon allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over six innings.
Balbino Fuenmayor had two extra-base hits for the Frontier Greys. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the second and sixth innings.
Casey Delgado was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
