It took 11 innings, but the River City Rascals (19-26) managed to put away the Traverse City Beach Bums (28-18) 7-5 on Thursday at Wuerfel Park.

With the score tied at five in the eleventh inning, Johnny Morales came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Anthony Foulk.

It was a good day at the plate for the River City Rascals' Morales. Morales went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eleventh inning.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' lineup had no answer for Andy Urban. The Traverse City Beach Bums managed just one hit off of Urban, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Jose Vargas put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Burny Mitchem (0-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
