Evan Anundsen struck out 10, paving the way for a the Joliet Slammers win. Anundsen allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over six innings.
Mike Giovenco couldn't get it done on the hill for the Schaumburg Boomers, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
