The Windy City ThunderBolts (11-18) and the Florence Freedom (15-13) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Windy City ThunderBolts capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-4 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

The fact that the Windy City ThunderBolts grouped all of their runs into the second inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

C.J. Gillman had a hot bat for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Gillman went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and eighth innings.

Byron Wiley did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Florence Freedom, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Travis Tingle got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Daniel DeSimone (4-1) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
