The Windy City ThunderBolts survive the Rockford Aviators rally, escape with 5-4 victory

The Rockford Aviators (3-17) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Windy City ThunderBolts (7-15) on Sunday, as the Rockford Aviators fell 5-4 at Aviator Stadium after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.

The Rockford Aviators scored on a groundout by Ted Obregon in the seventh inning and a solo home run by Jereme Milons and a two-run home run by Milons in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Rockford Aviators couldn't finish the comeback.

Chad Cregar was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Cregar went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Matt Wickswat picked up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Wickswat pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five.

Milons racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators.

Trevor Harden couldn't get it done on the hill for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
