Shawn Sanford improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Washington Wild Things. He allowed three runs over six innings. Sanford struck out five, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Chuck Lofgren couldn't get it done on the bump for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
