The Florence Freedom (1-0) blew out the River City Rascals (0-1) 12-6 on Thursday at UC Health Stadium after pouring on seven runs in the sixth inning.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with five lead changes.

Kyle Bluestein racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Daniel DeSimone got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Cameron Bayne couldn't get it done on the mound for the River City Rascals, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
