The Anchorage Bucs (6-1) and the Seals Baseball Club (1-4) passed the lead back and forth five times on Saturday at Mulcahy Field, but in the end the Anchorage Bucs pulled out a 4-3 win over the Seals Baseball Club.
The Anchorage Bucs finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. A sacrifice fly by Ryan Leonards scored Chase Compton and gave the Anchorage Bucs the lead for good.
Tyler Coolbaugh had a hot bat for the Anchorage Bucs. Coolbaugh went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.
Kenny Smith's seven strikeouts helped the Anchorage Bucs to the victory. Smith allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks over seven innings.
Corey Thompson couldn't get it done on the bump for the Seals Baseball Club, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
