Both the Alaska Goldpanners (19-12) and the Anchorage Bucs (18-13) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Alaska Goldpanners that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Mulcahy Field.
It was a good day at the plate for the Anchorage Bucs' Don Andre Clark. Andre Clark went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the ninth inning.
Nathan Bannister improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alaska Goldpanners. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered eight hits.
Andrew Boes couldn't get it done on the mound for the Anchorage Bucs, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
