Cyle Hankerd racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He tripled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.
The Bridgeport Bluefish had no answer for Jeff Stevens, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Stevens held the Bridgeport Bluefish hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
TyRelle Harris (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
