The Long Island Ducks (5-12) trailed by one in the ninth, but the Long Island Ducks recovered thanks to a key error in the ninth inning from Joash Brodin to pull out a 5-3 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers (7-10) at Clipper Magazine on Monday.

With the score tied at three in the ninth inning, reached on an error, plating Rusty Jones and Ian Snell.

Brodin reached base two times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.

Josh Barfield was hot from the plate for the Long Island Ducks. Barfield went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Matt Way handled the Lancaster Barnstormers' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Way allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over seven innings.

Despite the loss, the Lancaster Barnstormers' Dwayne Pollok dominated the Long Island Ducks' batters, giving up two runs and striking out eight.

James Houser got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Houser struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Yoslan Herrera (0-1) took the loss for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
