The Somerset Patriots (5-3) outlasted the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (3-6) at Regency Furniture Stadium 8-5 on Friday after 10 innings.

With the score tied at five, Luis Montanez came to the plate and singled, scoring Jake Fox.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with seven lead changes.

Fox was solid at the plate for the Somerset Patriots. Fox went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Brandon Braboy got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Tommy Mendoza (0-2) took the loss for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
