Chase Lambin knocked in three runs, sparking the Sugar Land Skeeters (5-0) to a 7-2 victory over the Somerset Patriots (3-2) on Tuesday at TD Bank Ballpark.
He homered in the third innings.Matt Wright struck out six hitters en route to the the Sugar Land Skeeters win. Wright allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over five innings.
Joe Holden got on base three times in the game for the Somerset Patriots. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.
The Sugar Land Skeeters couldn't get anything going so long as David Harden was on the hill. Harden gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Josh Lowey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
