Brett Tomko hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Tomko tossed seven scoreless innings to carry the York Revolution (1-1) to a 2-1 victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish (1-1) at Sovereign Bank Stadium.
Tyler Graham helped the York Revolution take the lead for good in the ninth inning. After Jason Repko tripled, Graham came to the plate with the score tied at one in the ninth inning, and singled, bringing home Repko.
Juan Rincon improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the York Revolution. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Kanekoa Texeira (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
