Justin Bohn went 2-4, sparking the Bend Elks (1-0) to a 4-1 victory over the Walla Walla Sweets (0-1) on Wednesday at Borleske Stadium.

Taylor Elman's eight strikeouts helped the Bend Elks to the victory. Elman allowed one earned run, two hits and two walks over five innings.

The Bend Elks couldn't get anything going as long as Sean Silva was pitching. The Bend Elks managed just two hits off of Silva, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Jonathan Harris ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
