The Pittsfield Suns (15-18) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (14-18) 14-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at Wahconah Park after an eight-run explosion in the fifth inning.

John Kinne racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He singled in the second, third, and fifth innings.

Mike Geannelis struck out seven hitters en route to the the Pittsfield Suns win. Geannelis allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over six innings.

Michael Yerina couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.
