The North Shore Navigators make the most of 9 hits in 7-5 victory over the Pittsfield Suns

Both the North Shore Navigators (14-14) and the Pittsfield Suns (12-15) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the North Shore Navigators that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-5 win at Fraser Field.

Kyle Devin was solid at the plate for the North Shore Navigators. Devin went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Tyler Gauthier pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four.

Mat Snider improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Chris Carmain ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
