A walk-off double from Mekae Hyde brought home the winning run for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (10-12) in a 6-5 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (16-7) at The Ball Park on Monday.
The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide were led by Hyde's hitting. Hyde went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the eighth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Michael Franzese looked sharp on the mound. Franzese gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Nick Sell racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Tyler Pogmore recorded his first win of the year for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. Pogmore struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.
Mike McFerran was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
