Monday was a great day for Bubba Derby, as Derby threw a shutout to carry the Bethesda Big Train (11-3) to a 4-0 victory over the Vienna River Dogs at Shirley Povich Field in seven innings.

The Bethesda Big Train's Derby kept the Vienna River Dogs (6-6) off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out six.

Nick Deckert (0-2) took the loss for the Vienna River Dogs. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
