The Nevada Big Horns (15-16) jumped out to an early lead on the San Francisco Seagulls (15-30) and captured a 12-4 victory on Saturday at McQueen HS.
The game was decided quickly as the Nevada Big Horns exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Kyle Lewis and a sacrifice fly by Shae Bell in the second inning fueled the Nevada Big Horns' offense early.Brandon Metroyer racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Nevada Big Horns. He homered in the third inning.
Tyler Helms was solid at the plate for the San Francisco Seagulls. Helms went 2-2 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Eric Meyer recorded his second win of the year for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed four runs over six innings. Meyer struck out four, walked one and gave up 10 hits.
Zach Bell (0-5) took the loss for the San Francisco Seagulls. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
