Four first-inning runs helped the Atwater Aviators (15-14) to a 5-3 win over the Bercovich Collegiate at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark on Thursday.

Matthew Moceri put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Atwater Aviators. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the third innings, and tripled in the fifth inning.

Zachary Holcomb recorded his first win of the year for the Atwater Aviators. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Holcomb struck out two, walked four and gave up six hits.

The Atwater Aviators were sparked by Bobby Hosmer and Moceri, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.

D'Emilio ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
