Jeff McGarry went 2-5 and hit a home run, helping the Atwater Aviators (5-9) to a 6-5 victory over the Auburn Wildcats (7-9) on Thursday at James Field.

Paul Cotler brought the heat against the Auburn Wildcats during his outing. The Auburn Wildcats managed just one hit off of Cotler, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Ethan McGill did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Auburn Wildcats, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Rafael Vasquez got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Vasquez struck out four, walked one and gave up one hit.

Zach Saca was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out seven.
