The Wareham Gatemen make the most of 5 hits in 4-3 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks

The Wareham Gatemen (9-8) and the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (6-11) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Wareham Gatemen that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at McKeon Park.

Chris Hannick racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Wareham Gatemen. He homered in the fourth inning.

Dean Kiekhefer pitched lights out for the Wareham Gatemen. Kiekhefer held the Hyannis Harbor Hawks hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Eric Maust put together a nice outing. Maust gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 1 2/3 innings of work.

Joshua Slaats recorded his first win of the year for the Wareham Gatemen. Slaats struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Mark Gormley (0-1) took the loss for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
