Kyle Blair struck out 10 batters to lift the Brewster Whitecaps (7-8) to a 4-1 win over the Cotuit Kettleers (8-8) at Stony Brook.

Mark Canha reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and eighth innings.

Despite the loss, the Cotuit Kettleers' Chad Bell dominated the Brewster Whitecaps' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Bell (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
