Monday was a great day for Jack Armstrong, as Armstrong threw a shutout to carry the Wareham Gatemen (8-8) to a 4-0 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (6-10) at McKeon Park in seven innings.

Armstrong held the Hyannis Harbor Hawks scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out six.

Zach Wilson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Jay Brown couldn't get it done on the hill for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
