An exceptional effort by Micah Gibbs hoisted the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (11-9) to a 9-8 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (6-9) on Sunday at Red Wilson Field.

Gibbs rocked the Hyannis Harbor Hawks with two home runs. Gibbs went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Gibbs homered in the second and sixth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 16 hits during the game. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were eight pitchers used in the game.

Drew Hayes had an impressive outing against the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' lineup. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just one hit off of Hayes, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 1 2/3 innings of work.

Ryan Cuneo racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Tyler Burgoon improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Burgoon struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Dallas Gallant couldn't get it done on the mound for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
