An exceptional effort by Micah Gibbs hoisted the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (11-9) to a 9-8 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (6-9) on Sunday at Red Wilson Field.
Gibbs rocked the Hyannis Harbor Hawks with two home runs. Gibbs went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Gibbs homered in the second and sixth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 16 hits during the game. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were eight pitchers used in the game.
