A great day by Greg Peavey wasn't enough to carry the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (9-7) to a win on Monday, as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox fell to the Harwich Mariners (7-7) 1-0 at Whitehouse Field in 13 innings.

Peavey kept the Harwich Mariners off the board during his eight innings of work. Peavey allowed five hits, two walks and struck out six.

A walk-off single by Phil Gosselin gave the Harwich Mariners the win.

Gosselin was hot from the plate for the Harwich Mariners. Gosselin went 2-6. He singled in the fourth and thirteenth innings.

Mathew Price improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Harwich Mariners. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Matt Little couldn't get it done on the mound for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
