Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Brewster Whitecaps (4-6) outscored the Chatham Anglers (9-5) 9-8 in eight innings.

Lyle Allen got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the first innings and homered in the third inning.
Steven Maxwell got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over two innings. Maxwell struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.
The Brewster Whitecaps' Jedd Gyorko, Mark Canha, Colin Walsh and Allen combined for 10 hits and seven RBIs.
Matt Harvey took the loss for the Chatham Anglers. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
