The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (7-6)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 6-3 win over the Falmouth Commodores (3-7) on Sunday at Red Wilson Field.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox were led by Austin Wates's hitting. Wates went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Chris Sale recorded his second win of the year for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

Nick Tepesch (1-2) took the loss for the Falmouth Commodores. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
