The Orleans Firebirds (4-5) trailed by two in the eighth, but Danny Muno was able to capture the lead back with a error in the ninth, spurring the Orleans Firebirds to a 6-4 win over the Harwich Mariners (2-6) at Whitehouse Field on Wednesday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Orleans Firebirds' Muno. Muno went 2-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jaren Matthews racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Orleans Firebirds. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Brock Stassi brought the heat against the Harwich Mariners during his outing. Stassi gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Brett Bruening was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Orleans Firebirds batters and allowing one run.

Brett Weibley recorded his first win of the year for the Orleans Firebirds. Weibley struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Glenn Troyanowski took the loss for the Harwich Mariners. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
