The Harwich Mariners (2-2) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (4-1), and the Harwich Mariners lost 6-5 to the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox after falling behind by five runs in the fourth inning.

The Harwich Mariners scored on an RBI single by Stuart Tapley, an RBI single by Ryan Lockwood, and in the sixth inning, an RBI double by Chris Wade in the seventh inning, and an RBI single by Lockwood in the eighth inning. Unfortunately, the Harwich Mariners weren't able to take the lead back.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's Jordan Casas was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the third, fourth, and eighth innings.

Michael Goodnight got the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox thanks to six strikeouts. Goodnight allowed no earned runs, three hits and four walks over six innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Harwich Mariners' Tapley. Tapley went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs.

Chase Reid was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
