Nick Schwaner brought home the winning run to give the Chatham Anglers (3-0) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Chatham Anglers hung on to beat the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (3-1) 3-2 on Monday.

Matthew Perry singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on a single by Whit Merrifield. Finally, Schwaner came to the plate with the score tied at one in the seventh inning, and singled, bringing home Perry.

The Chatham Anglers would not relinquish the lead as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox were unable to weather a two-run seventh inning deficit.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox scored one run in the seventh on an RBI double by Josh Rutledge. Despite their efforts, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox couldn't get over the hump.

Kaleb Fleck brought the heat against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox during his outing. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just one hit off of Fleck, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Thomas Keeling recorded his first win of the year for the Chatham Anglers. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Matt Tone was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
