The Boozehounds (8-4) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 9-4 ballgame against the toon squad (8-4) on Wednesday at Marina one.

A two-run double by Michelle Icort gave the toon squad the lead in the fifth inning.

Nicole Vecchione got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Dawn Urbanski racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Boozehounds. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Sean Geddes improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the toon squad. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 13 hits.

Eddy Cepeda couldn't get it done on the mound for the Boozehounds, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked three and struck out none.
