The exile (4-4) shut the door early on the Plugs and Sockets (6-2), capturing an 8-1 victory on Wednesday at Firemens Field.
The game was decided quickly as the exile exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Jojo Dagostino during the first inning and and a groundout by Kerry Horan in the second inning helped the exile put some runs on the board early.Tj Viskovich was solid at the plate for the exile. Viskovich went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.
The Plugs and Sockets were led by Brian Kuefner's hitting. Kuefner went 1-1 and drove in one. He tripled in the third inning.
Dagostino got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over four innings. Dagostino struck out none, walked one and gave up five hits.
J.P. Petrillo couldn't get it done on the hill for the Plugs and Sockets, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
