The USSSA Pride (2-2) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Chicago Bandits (3-0), and the USSSA Pride lost 2-1 to the Chicago Bandits after falling behind by two runs in the third inning.

The USSSA Pride scored one run in the seventh on a solo home run by Lauren Lappin. Despite their efforts, the USSSA Pride couldn't get over the hump.

Shannon Doepking racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chicago Bandits. She homered in the third innings and singled in the fifth inning.

Monica Abbott racked up six strikeouts in the the Chicago Bandits win. Abbott allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks over seven innings.

Cat Osterman (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
