An ace performance by Trevor Frank carried the Corvallis Knights (1-0) to a 3-1 win over the Cowlitz Black Bears (0-1) on Saturday at Story Field.

Frank had an impressive outing against the Cowlitz Black Bears' lineup. The Cowlitz Black Bears managed just two hits off of Frank, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his nine innings of work.

Cole Irvin (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
