Friday was a great day for Greg Baggett, as he hit two home runs to carry the Brockton Rox (26-22) to a 7-4 victory over the Seacoast Mavericks (20-26) at Leary Field in seven innings.
The Brockton Rox came out swinging, scoring four runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Seacoast Mavericks early.
Patrick Delano recorded his first win of the year for the Brockton Rox. He allowed four runs over six innings. Delano struck out two, walked none and gave up nine hits.
D.J. Colbert ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out two.
The Brockton Rox were sparked by Tanner Reibenspies and Baggett, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.
