Andrew Smiley drove in the winning run to give the Mudville (10-6) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Mudville hung on to beat the RR Legion (9-7) 7-4 on Saturday.

Eddie Apice singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to third on a two-run double by Matt Borges. Finally, Smiley came to the plate with the score tied at three, and doubled, scoring Apice and Borges.

Smiley racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Mudville. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Frank Mazza struck out 12, paving the way for a the Mudville win. Mazza allowed three earned runs on four hits and seven walks over seven innings.

Ben Monteiro reached base three times in the game for the RR Legion. He singled in the first and second innings.

Kevin Pittine (3-1) took the loss for the RR Legion. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
