An exceptional effort by Jon Mark Abbey spurred the Melville Millionaires (1-0) to a 6-0 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (0-1) on Tuesday at Pirie Field.

Mark Abbey struck out nine hitters en route to the the Melville Millionaires win. The Melville Millionaires' pitcher gave up just five hits over seven shutout innings.

The Melville Millionaires blew out the Moose Jaw Miller Express thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Melville Millionaires scored three runs in the sixth on a groundout by Cam Firth, an RBI single by Sheldon O Dell, a single by Sebastian Wong, a sacrifice fly by Ben Villafuerte, and a single by Garrett Killgore.

Wong was hot from the plate for the Melville Millionaires. Wong went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs.

Tyler OBryant was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out five.
