The Vienna River Dogs fall to the Bethesda Big Train 10-5

The Vienna River Dogs (2-2) lost despite Johnny Bladel's spectacular day from both the mound and the plate.

Bladel did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Vienna River Dogs, reaching base two times. He singled in the third inning.

Bladel had an impressive outing against the Bethesda Big Train (3-2)'s lineup. The Bethesda Big Train managed just one hit off of Bladel, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his one inning of work.

Adam Barry was hot from the plate for the Bethesda Big Train. Barry went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Jordan Gross got his first win for the Bethesda Big Train despite allowing five runs over seven innings. Gross struck out two, walked four and gave up six hits.

Bret Williams ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked three and struck out four.
