The Northwest Indiana Oilmen (3-0) used a seven-run explosion in the ninth inning to get past the DeKalb County Liners (2-1) 12-6 on Friday at Founders Field.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Bennett Oliver racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He homered in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Nik Mason brought the heat against the DeKalb County Liners during his outing. Mason held the DeKalb County Liners hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one.

Brent Mueller (0-1) took the loss for the DeKalb County Liners. He allowed seven runs in one-third of an inning, walked two and struck out none.
