Jack Cinoman carried the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (2-0) to a 10-6 victory over the DuPage County Hounds on Wednesday at Benedictine Stadium with a strong game at the plate and on the hill.
Cinoman racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the third and fourth innings, and tripled in the seventh inning.
Cinoman put together a nice outing. Cinoman held the DuPage County Hounds (0-2) hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two.
Charles Gould went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the DuPage County Hounds. He singled in the third and seventh innings.
Danny Britt recorded his first win of the year for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He allowed four runs over six innings. Britt struck out four, walked two and gave up nine hits.
Brett Maus (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out two.
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen easily handled the DuPage County Hounds pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored.
