The San Luis Obispo Blues outdone by Singh and the Impact Sports, 5-1

Paul Singh went 2-4, sparking the Impact Sports (2-1) to a 5-1 victory over the San Luis Obispo Blues (1-2) on Sunday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth innings.

The Impact Sports relied on Carlos Luzon to eat up innings en route to the win. Luzon pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and two walks while striking out three.

Thomas Cortese brought the heat against the Impact Sports during his outing. The Impact Sports managed just one hit off of Cortese, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Travis Wilcox couldn't get it done on the bump for the San Luis Obispo Blues, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
