Shawn Walters brought home the winning run to give the San Diego Force (2-1) the lead in the sixth inning, as the San Diego Force hung on to beat the Plaza Tire Capahas (1-2) 5-2 on Friday.

With the score tied at two in the sixth inning, Walters came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Devon King.

Walters paced the San Diego Force at the plate. Walters went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the San Diego Force's Tyler Nordgren. Nordgren went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Adam Byrd picked up the win for the San Diego Force. Byrd allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out one over eight innings of work.

Mark Hagedorn racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Plaza Tire Capahas. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Logan Holthaus (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
