Wednesday was a great day for David Benson, as Benson tossed a shutout to carry the Seattle Studs (1-0) to a 2-0 victory over the Conejo Oaks (0-1) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The Seattle Studs' Benson kept the Conejo Oaks off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up four.

The Seattle Studs were led by a flawless day at the dish by Kyle Boe, who went 2-2 against the Conejo Oaks' pitching. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Landon Hunt couldn't get it done on the hill for the Conejo Oaks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
