Wednesday was a great day for Joe Begel, as Begel gave up three hits to carry the Hays Larks (1-1) to a 3-2 victory over the Wichita Prospects (0-2) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
The Wichita Prospects had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the Hays Larks. The Wichita Prospects were up until the fifth inning, but the Hays Larks had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a groundout by Austin Darby.
Seth Holman was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
