The Kitchener Panthers (2-0) pounded the London Majors (0-2) on Sunday 9-1 at Jack Couch Park.

The Kitchener Panthers scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Mat Taube and a two-run double by Ben Kangas.

Taube racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Kitchener Panthers.

Adam Echlin racked up five strikeouts in the the Kitchener Panthers win. Echlin allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks over six innings.

Steve Froese had a hot bat for the London Majors. Froese went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Eric Cordova ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out three.
