Early lead gives the Brantford Red Sox easy victory over the Burlington Twins, 21-5

The Brantford Red Sox (1-0) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Burlington Twins (0-1), recording a 21-5 victory on Friday at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the Brantford Red Sox exerted their will early with 10 runs in the first three innings.

A solo home run by Terrell Alliman and an error in the second inning helped the Brantford Red Sox put some runs on the board early.

Alliman had two extra-base hits for the Brantford Red Sox.

Chris Chavez brought the heat against the Burlington Twins during his outing. The Burlington Twins managed just three hits off of the the Brantford Red Sox's pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Jeff Kosta racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Burlington Twins. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Kyle Bolton was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
