The GEN Twins pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. A two-run error scored Taylor Nichols and gave the GEN Twins the lead for good.
Nick Kranick racked up three RBIs on three hits for the GEN Twins. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the seventh innings, and homered in the eighth inning.
A bright spot for the Hornell in the defeat was Erik Eck, who allowed only three runs while striking out 12.
Justin Ratte improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the GEN Twins. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked four and surrendered eight hits.
Tyler Wilson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Hornell, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
